CEH( Certified Ethical Hacker)

ceh1
‘Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is the world’s most advanced certified ethical hacking course that covers 18 of the most current security domains any individual will ever want to know when they are planning to beef-up the information security posture of their organization.’ -EC-Council

So currently the current opinion of CEH is that it is memory dumb and an entry level certification. That was version 9, now that version 10 rolled round the corner with a practical, it is still a a entry level certification and just slightly harder.Take if you wanna get a toe in but skip to OCSP if you’re feeling confident.

MCQ 125 Questions

There will be 125 multiple choice questions that are quite easy and are borrowed from previous versions like the following:

Scanning is performed in which phase of a pen test?
Hint: Pen-test steps are different from the five hacking steps.

A. Pre-attack
B. Attack
C. Post-attack
D. Reconnaissance

C|EH Practical

20 Practicals, 6 hours

It sounds daunting but don’t worry, its quite easy. However it is not worth your time, you might as well just practice penetration with kali and just aim for OSCP

Self-Study:

This will be the option that most people opt for as it is significantly cheaper and won’t burst your wallet. Just practice all of the previous versions and I promise you that you can pass with flying colors.

The link provided will give a decent sample size of questions with answers for some of them, you can contact me for further questions ;D

Courses:

You can of course opt for courses if you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth but at this point if you have $2000+ dollars to burn, you might as well head over to sans and get a GIAC certification which will tear your wallet a $6000++ hole.
