OSCP is the pet favourite of the US and is the worldwide standard for penetration testers, its equivalent is the CREST certification commonly found in commonwealth countries. It is a 24 hr examination where you have to complete the exam requirements and document it all done, it is what makes the difference between a true pentester and a script kiddie as it forces one to write your own exploits with only a limited metasploit that is next to useless.
